DermAssociates is a dermatology practice in Silver Spring, MD specializing in medical dermatology. We offer a spectrum of dermatologic treatments including MOHS surgery, cosmetic procedures, blue light treatments and narrow band ultraviolet light. Dr. Cowen recieved his B.S. degree in Biology and Society from Cornell University and M.D. degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He then went on to receive specialty training in Dermatology and serve as Chief Resident at the University of Rochester. Dr. Cowen completed a clinical research fellowship in the Dermatology Branch and Masters Program in Clinical Research at Duke University before joining the faculty as Staff Clinician at the Center for Cancer Research at the National Institutes of Health in July 2004. Dr. Cowen has been working at DermAssociates Thursday evenings and some Saturdays since 2002.
